DesktopDoppler is designed to be
work with all Windows based PC's from Windows 98 through Windows XP.
Windows 95 systems meeting the minimum system requirements may work,
but we do not officially support Win95 because Microsoft no longer
supports it either.
Hardware:
- Pentium MMX 200 Mhz or faster PC (Pentium II, III, 4 @ 400 Mhz
or faster preferred)
- 32 MB RAM (64 MB or more preferred)
- 10 MB free hard disk space
- SVGA Video card at 1024x768, 24 or 32 bit (16.8 million
colors) required (800x600 or lower resolution will not display the
application due to the 620x620 size of the NWS Doppler Radar
Imagery size)
- SVGA Display Must be set for 24 or 32 bit color to detect
stroms correctly
- Sound card (for audio alerts)
- 28.8 K or faster Modem with Internet connection through an
Internet Service Provider
-OR-
- DSL/Cable Modem/Satellite/LAN/T1 Network connection to the
Internet (and through firewalls) are also supported
Software:
- Windows 98, 98SE, Windows ME, Windows NT4, Windows 2000, and
Windows XP Home and Professional are supported
- Your Windows based PC MUST have an internet connection
installed via an Internet Service Provider
